Offering Group: Vessel, c. 800-1200(?). Mexico, Guerrero(?), San Jerónimo de Juárez, Xochicalco style. Travertine or tecali; diameter: x cm (7 3/8 x 7 1/4 in.); overall: cm (7 7/16 in.). The objects in this group, all with traces of red pigment, are said to have been found together, the shells and greenstone plaque inside the translucent stone vessel. A similar offering was found in a pyramid ornamented with feathered serpents at Xochicalco, a site south of the Valley of Mexico.
