Theselatter, whilst anxiously awaiting Retiefs return, were in no fearof hostilities. For the most part, the men were absent onhunting trips. The camps were located at Doornkop,Blauwkrantz, Moord Spruit, Rensburgs Spruit, and severalother places along the Bushmans River.
