Mountains En Route To Phakding Village, The Himalayas, Nepal
These photos are from a journey trekking through the Himalayas, visiting monasteries along the way. We started in exotic Kathmandu, then for three weeks hiked the Himalayas along the only roads, the Sherpa's dirt pathways up and down the mountains. This physically arduous trip, perpetually hiking up or trekking down, contributed to a solitary, soul opening adventure. And the constant immersion amidst Buddhist relics, symbols, monasteries and stupas certainly elevated all awareness of spirituality. Nepal is a piece of heaven on earth.
