The forgotten ideal city of the Po delta Tresigallo is a small town in the countryside between Ferrara and Comacchio, in northern Italy. It was completely rebuilt in the 1930s, following the aesthetic canons of metaphysical architecture, by Edmondo Rossoni, an Italian fascist politician that was born there. He planned to build an ideal city, with public and private buildings and factories. The fall of fascism and WW2 prevented the completion of the work, but most of its buildings are still visible today and it is visited by tourists and scholars of rationalist architecture.
