Waesche, Commandant of the Coast Guard, obtains first hand information on the battered port facilities of Cherbourg during recent tour of the European Theatre of Operations. Accompanying Vice Admiral Waesche is Captain W. H. Barton, of Ketchikan, Alaska, Coast Guard officer in charge of merchant shipping through the Port of Cherbourg.
