Khao Phing Kan Island, Phuket Thailand - April 2011; Tourist boats moored off Khao Phing Kan Island, Phuket Thailand. Khao Phing Kan is located in Phang Nga Bay northeast of Phuket. Little visited before 1974, it featured prominently in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun as the hideout for Bond's antagonist, Francisco Scaramanga. After the movie release, the island turned into a relentlessly popular tourist destination.
