The Titus Clockcase, 1776-78. Makers: Boulton & The partnership between Matthew Boulton and John Fothergill began in They created a number of different products at the Soho Manufactory but they were best known for their ormolu mounts. Within a few years they had won the reputation of being the largest producers of decorative ormolu of their Titus, shown here was the elder son of Roman Emperor Vespasian, succeeding as his father in AD79, he became one of Rome's most popular rulers.
