CP Violation Experiment, 1963


A researcher at Brookhaven National Laboratory stands among masses of equipment used in an important 1964 experiment which led to the discovery of the phenomenon known as CP violation. James Cronin and Val Fitch, who headed the experiment, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for their efforts.
