Faroe Islands Cohort Study
Teitur Andreasen, 7 striped shirt from the Faroe Islands who is a part of a long-tern study of 650 children. Some were exposed to methylmercury and PCBs in utero from their mothers eating pilot whale meat. The higher exposed children as determined by cord blood and material hair samples have eight different neurodevelopmental differences. They have about 5-6 point lower and also physiological and behavior problems compared to mothers with lower exposures. This test registers how the brain responds to sounds. (releasecode: pe_mr11102)
