The 'Crack the Whip' sculpture, by J. Seward Johnson, Jr., near Navy Pier. The work depicts a group of eight children holding hands while playing in a circle. In the background rises Lake Point Tower, a 70-story luxury residential structure located near Lake Shore Drive, Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. It is located in the city's Streeterville neighborhood on Chicago's near North Side. The building, with its elegant structure, was completed in 1968. Residents, depending on their location, are afforded spectacular views of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, the downtown skyline, as well as Lake Shore Drive and Navy Pier. The building is a prime example of affluent living in Chicago.
