It contained in allsome twenty specimens ofblue historical plates andplatters. They were notrare pieces and were inpoor condition, many ofthem being cracked andchipped. On one of theleast important of the plat-ters was a label whichread: Very rare—onlyone known. The best collections are owned by individuals. When Iuse the word collection I include only those classes of OldBlue ware indicated in the headlines of this article.
