Shanksville, Pennsylvania, USA. The Tower of Voices that provides a gateway to the Flight 93 National Memorial.

The Tower of Voices that provides a gateway to the Flight 93 National Memorial. The tower contains 40 wind chimes, one for each passenger and crew member who died in the crash. Sounds made by the tower's 40 chimes are meant to commemorate the voices of the passengers and crew members who lost their lives. Construction on the tower began in 2017 with the final chimes installed in 2020. The memorial was created to commemorate the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, one of four aircraft hijacked in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. The memorial honors the passengers and crew of Flight 93, who stopped the terrorists from reaching their target by fighting the hijackers whose intended target is thought to have been the United States and Capitol Building in Washington , and is located at the crash site.
