Where it is desired to ship cattle north-ward beyond the infected boundary, the animals may be washedwith any of the washes for which formulas are given in this wash should, in any case, be used as hot as it can be borne, andmust be repeated after seven days. Even then some of the ticksmay fail to be destroyed and must be picked off by hand. Thesemites do not seem to infest animals other than cattle.
