The B-25J Mitchell was used by the 1st Air Commando Group in the China-Burma-India Theater. The bomber was armed with six .50-caliber machine guns, one 75mm cannon and able to carry approximately 3,000 lbs. of bombs. The top speed of the heavily armed plane was 275 mph at a gross weight of 33,500 pounds.
