Mount San Michele. Italian gun gallery of the Terza Armata. An underground area of tunnels dug by the 20th Compagnia Genio Minatori (sapper-engineers). Eight 149 mm guns were placed in that gallery, part of them aimed northwards, at Gorizia, and the rest aimed southwards, at mount Hermada. One of the enormous loop-holes from which the guns fired out.
