Twolayers of cementum are seen, and notice the thickening of thelayer where strong bundles are attached. At the middle ofthe labial surface the fibers pass at right angles to the cemen-tum and are attached to the bone, but as the distolabialangle of the root is approached the bundles swing distally tobe attached in the bone.
