A flintlock blunderbuss, Nicolaus Koch, Vienna, circa 1730 Strong two-stage barrel, octagonal then round after a girdle, with oval muzzle. At the breech a brass-filled mark "KOCH", the tang numbered "1". Smooth flintlock with foldout frizzen on the side, signed on the lock plate "NICOLAUS KOCH IN WIENN". Beautiful walnut full stock with horn nose and smooth brass furniture, the wooden ramrod with horn tip.
