BRAKE SHOES Brake shoe design and wear constituted another questionwhich was given very careful consideration. During the firstpart of 1909 a system of records was established by which theresults of the wear of brake shoes of various types could besystematically compared. With this information it was pos-sible to take up intelligently the plan of obtaining brake shoes.
