Procession in Honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St Peter's Catholic Church, Clerkenwell, London. Priests and statue.

The Procession in Honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at St Peter's Catholic Church, Clerkenwell, London has taken place annually for well over a hundred years since it was the first Catholic procession allowed in England since the reformation. Italian catholics come from around the country to take part, carrying statues and banners in the procession around the area along with the decorated floats depicting biblical scenes and groups in biblical dress, along with first communicants. During the procession white doves are released and priests and congregation join on the end. In the streets below the church there is an Italian festival or Sangra with Italian food and wine and various stalls.
