Mr. Stvirtzwas educated in various country schools and in Nortliwestern College, Dixon, III,, from 1884-7, He sraduatedfrom Knox College in 1891 with the degree ol B. S., receiving the further degree of LL. B. from the Universityof Michigan in 1SH2. He moved to Kewanee in 1893 and began the pracllcc of law there, was city attorneyduring the years 1894-7 and 1899-1900, a member of the board of educalion from 1899 to 1908, He was electedstales allonicy of Henry county on the republican ticket in 190H, and re-elected in 1904 and 1908, but declinedId liecdtne a candidate in 19 12. He is a member of the Masons, Ivnights reiiiiilar. Mystic Shrine, B. P. o.
