The red and white banded cliffs of Hunstanton on the Norfolk coast, England
The cliffs at Hunstanton extend for about from the northern end of the promenade. They consist of red chalk laid down during the Lower Cretaceous era topped by white chalk from the Upper Cretaceous era with grey/brown carstone at the bottom. The cliffs are about 18m high at their highest point.
