Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) skull being delivered to the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. The whale was first found stranded on Henne Strand, Jutland, Denmark. It measured 14 meters in length and weighed an estimated 30 tonnes. It was dissected on the beach by scientists and then the bones soaked and cleaned in water to remove all the tissue. Conservators will prepare and assemble the skeleton for display to the public.
