A vote of thank's was given to the Chamber of Com- merce of Oakland, Mayor Mott and the individuals who had entertained the delegates, and especially to Lester Morse, who gave an elaborate banquet to the members on the evening of No- vember 11. G. SEATTLE. The Market. Business has 1 r( u about the average during the last week. "With inclement weather, the transient trade is hardly so good as usual at this season, but several good wedding decorations have helped considerably, and funeral work has been rather above the normal. Ex- tra fine chrysanthemums are now being offered and the local product is with- out competition at present. The large blooms are selling well and there is an unabated demand for the single and pompon varieties. The prices of large flowers are hardly so good as they used to be, on account of the influx of the California stock early in the season. Carnations are plentiful, with the de- mand none too good, and there has been talk of cutting prices, but the small surplus at present should be overcome with increasing trade toward the holi- days. Cattleyas continue in good sup- ply and violets are, like the poor, al- ways with us. The sale of ferns, palms and flowering plants is good. Cycla- mens and primulas are bringing good prices. Various Notes. The Hollywood Gardens held their annual chrysanthemum show, at their premises on Second avenue, at the end of last week. A number of local florists went to
