In 1413, 1 Hen. V. Robert Cooper had a grant from that victo-rious monarch, in consideration of his good and acceptable ser-vices, of sixpence a day, during his life, out of the Kings rents inthe county of Northampton ; ^ and in the patent is entitled, Fal-letorum de Corona; whereby it is not unlikely, that he was inthe place which is now one of the grooms of the Kings bed-chamber; and very probably attended on him in France. Whenhe died I do not find, neither can I positively assert, that ThomasCooper, Esq. was a descendant from him, who was living in thereigns of Kings Henry VI. and fidward IV. Which Thomas Cooper, writing himself of Horley, in the dio-cese of Winchester, made his last will and testament, August29th, 1489, wherein he ordered his body to be buried in thechapel of St. Catherine, in the parish church of the blessed Maryof Horley, to which he was a benefactor, besides
