Around the UK - Potters Gate, Sumnnyhurst Woods,
captured by local photographer in 1904 and copied from glass plates decades later. Potter's Gate was gifted by JC Potter a local wallpaper manufacturer. 'Potters' had patented the steam driven, rotary wallpaper printing machine in 1839 which enabled cheap production of wallpaper and was adopted universally by mid-century. The production facility was much later taken over by Crown Wallcoverings and has since been demolished. Search - Image ID: 2P929TA for a recent image of this building.
