Hurricane Otto
Hurricane Otto, approaching Nicaragua and Costa Rica on November 24, 2016, seen from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA's Terra satellite. When this image was taken, Otto had maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers (110 miles) per hour (category 2), unusually strong for so late in the season.
