Kasperk Castle (Hrad Kasperk), Czech Republic. Kasperk castle is a medieval castle placed at the foot of the National Park Sumava. With its elevation 886 m above the sea level Kasperk is the highest located royal castle in Bohemia. The castle was founded in 1356 by the Holy Roman emperor and king of Bohemia Charles IV to protect South-western Bohemia.
