PACIFIC OCEAN (May 18, 2021) Marine Corps Capt. Chase Hannegan, a forward air controller with Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conducts a communications check aboard amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD 27) before a helicopter raid exercise, May 18. Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) are underway conducting integrated training off the coast of southern California.
