The name of MaryAdelaide Nutting is inextricably associatedwith Teachers College. Many Canadiannurses have followed advanced study thereand continue to do so. A great number ofAmerican educators in nursing have becomefamiliar names to us. Such is the case withDr. Eleanor C. Lambertsen who has beenappointed head of the department of nursingeducation at Teachers College. She will be-gin her duties at the start of the 1961 To many Canadians, Dr. Lambertsen isknown as the author of Education forLeadership in Nursing Practice. Others mayassociate her with the concept of teamnursing, a method in nursing care nowwidely used throughout Canada and theUnited States. Former Canadian studentsmay remember her as an assistant professorin nursing education at Teachers experience has been varied and veryextensive. She is presently the director ofthe Division of Nursing and assistant secre-tary of the Council on Professional Practiceof the American Hospital Association. Professor R.
