The existence of thismembrane shows that the cavityis not simply formed by thebreaking down of the tissue is quite similar instructure to that which is behindthe commissure in b.* The posterior cornu is notan uncommon seat of cavities,which may extend through thewhole length of the horn. Anexample of this is shown in Fig,177.
