The sewing holes on the blades are still visible. It concerns the series entitled: Cognos Cite lilia consisting of a frontispiece and 60 engras with 119 numbered representations of plants, flowers and fruits, decorated with rinceaux and small representations of animals. These are proofs of this series of engras, the inscriptions and, in part, for the numbering. In some prints the numbers have been applied by hand. The title picture is missing the address of Crispin de Passe and Hans Wout Neel. The title is very true, apparently carved by Matthias Quad. This worked for De Passe in Cologne until 1604. The series have been released this year or previously established. At least for 1608, as the publisher Hans Wout Neel died in or before that year. One of the prints in the series is missing (No. 21-22) and has been replaced by a colored print of a later edition (RP-P-2012 -24-61), which is under the title Altera Pars included in the Hortus Floridus, published by Crispijn de Passe I and which further consists of slabs of the Crispijn Passe II.
