Hendrik Karssen. Consuerial sailor Hendrik Karssen (1918-1942) was killed as a prisoner of war in Bandoeng due to arms possession by the Japanese with bayonet stitches on April 22, 1942. During his execution, he finished last words the queen. Golden logo background stands for the bronze lion karssen awarded in 1948 posthum. The shield with the virgin and the lion is the municipal weapon of Semarang, the birthplace of Karssen. Logo lined by Hendrik Karssen (1954-1973).
