Zuglio, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. Pieve of San Pietro in Carnia. The church is the oldest of the 11 historic parish churches of Carnia and is considered the mother church. It is the main religious building of the But Valley. It is mentioned for the first time in 808, when it replaced the previous basilica of Zuglio which was destroyed by the Avars.
