The effigies of Henry II 1133 – 1189), also known as Henry Plantagenet and his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine in the Royal Abbey of Our Lady of Fontevraud or Fontevrault, Chinon, in Anjou, France. Henry was made Duke of Normandy, inherited Anjou in 1151 and shortly afterwards married Eleanor of Aquitaine, whose marriage to Louis VII of France had recently been annulled.
