Music Room ceiling in the Ali Qapu Palace, Isfahan, Iran

The Ali Qapu Palace in Isfahan dates from the 15th century and was the residence of Shah Abbas. The music room at the top of the building is the most famous feature and the ceiling was constructed using a form of plasterwork called tong borie. This enhances the acoustics in the room.
