The Market. Business last week was good in spots. There was considerable design work and many decorations. Flowers were not any too plentiful, but a good supply is prom- ised for Mothers' day. Club Meeting. The regular meeting of the Toronto Gardeners' and Florists' Association was held April 18. F. D. Clark, presi- dent, was in the chair. P. L. Whytoch gave a travel talk of his visits to the gardens of the old country after ii two months' trip. Lockie Wilson gave a his- tory of the growth of horticultural or- ganizations. A vote of thanks was tendered on motion of H. A. Dillemuth. It was decided to approach the govern- ment asking the appointment of a com- mission to help gardeners and floriv;ts coming to this country. Messrs. Wilson and Whytocii were appointed as a com- mittee. On invitation of P. L. Whytoch, a .special meeting will be held at his home May 2. G. M.
