The greatest spanis the ninth, which covers 230 feet. The bridge is 38 feetwide with sidewalks five feet wide on each side and is elec-trically lighted with ornamental clusters. The constructionwas begun in July 1912, and was completed at a cost of$240,000, of which the county of Los Angeles paid $100,000,$13,000 was subscribed by citizens of San Rafael Heights,on the west bank of the .\rroya and the city of Pasadenapaid the Courtesy Pasadena (Cal.)
