The canal is 100 feet wide and 26 feet deep, and jit saves ships 200 miles, Sailing through it from Greece, the traveler comes out in full view of the city where Paul made tents.” Under Nero, the canal was begun in 67 AD, but he was assassinated and work stopped. In 1881, the Greeks began construction and first shipped passed
