Card Table 1760–90 Attributed to John Goddard On this exquisite exemplar of a Newport cabriole-leg card table, the various elements of the skirt board are in perfect proportion and equilibrium, the curves of the legs are altogether satisfying, and the carved bird’s talons grasping the ball feet appear alive.
