Anti Aung San Suu Kyi protesters gathered by the Peace Palace, as Myanmar’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, arrived this morning on the second visit to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and the second of a three-day hearing, where she is expected to defend her country’s military accusations against genocide. In 2017, Rohingya were forced to flee across the border into neighbouring Bangladesh. In 1991 Aung San Suu Kyi collected the Nobel Peace Prize and spent 15 years under house arrest, her present stance has been to deny any ethnic violence perpetrated against the Rohingya.
