The Cottage, Jack London State Historic Park, California


American author Jack London bought a ruined winery in the rolling hills near Glen Ellen, California, and developed what he called Beauty Ranch, Here, with the help of horticulturist Luther Burbank, he experimented with plants, animals, and farming techniques. He lived in the Cottage with his wife Charmian on a hill overlooking the estate.
