Sidmouth, 6th Apr 18. A Devon resident has amusingly put a “For Sale” notice on his shed – as it is now perched inches from a 100 foot drop. Four cliff falls in the last week have left properties in Cliff Road, Sidmouth missing metres of garden. The continuing erosion of Pennington Point, to the east of the Regency town, now endanger the mouth of the River Sid itself, which if affected could flood a large area ofthe town. Repair costs are estimated at cost £72 millionif the flooding happened.
