Praefectus annonae (Prefect of the Provisions). Roman imperial offficial charged with the supervision of the grain supply to the city of Rome. The inscription, base on the reconstruction of an ancient manuscript, was placed for the prefect C. iunius Favianus, from the African wheat and oil traders (afrari), into the statio annonae.
