The castle dates from the 13th century. It is located on a strategic spot, from which it dominates the city. The castle is an elongated building with a polygonal floor plan, which used to be divided in three parts. A remarkable feature is the Espolón Tower, with a great Mudejar influence it relates the thrilling history of the frontier between the Muslim and Christian worlds.
