Fitzroy Barometer. Mousehole. Cornwall, England, UK


The Fitzroy Barometer is Mousehole was given on loan to the village in 1854 by Admiral Fitzroy. In 2009, it was given permanently to the village by the UK Meteorlogical Office. Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village on the south-west corner of Cornwall near Penzance. The village is a popular tourist location for those visiting the area because of its scenic and sandy harbour, and colourful old cottages and boats. The village was briefly raided by the Spanish in July 1595.
