Apparently the find registers a new site of Iron Age A occupationfor this part of Surrey, and suggests the advisability of some further,more scientific, investigations being undertaken in this vicinity. Since writing the above note, I have been able to inspect thefragmentary urn shown on Fig. 2. This urn, now in private pos-session, was found within a few yards of the oven described above.
