One of the most desirable sorts for bunching Edmunds' Improved Blood Turnip.—The result of a careful selection for a number of years past from the Dewing's Beet. Of handsome round shape, skin ver}- deep blood red in color, flesh also very dark, and exceedingly sweet and tender in quality. The beets grow regularly, of good marketable size, not growing over large and coarse. They have but a single tap root, and very small top, which allows their being grown very near together. They mature early, and give the very best satisfaction as a bunch beet Bastian's Early Blood Turnip.—Tops small, stems red. leaves green, roots turnip-shaped with medium sized tap, bright red. Flesh purple red, zoned with white; crisp, tender, and of good •05 50 •05 •50. HALF LOXG BLOOD. LONG SMOOTH BLOOD. MAMMOTH LONG RED MANGEL WURZEL. Early Turnip Bassano.—Xot maturing as early as the above, but growing to a large size, may be used early, and is the best variety to sow for greens. Tops large; leaf stems light red; leaves light green, roots large, round, turnip-shaped; flesh pink, zoned with white, very sweet and tender when young, becoming woody and / tasteless with age rlalf Long Blood.—The best variety- for winter use. The roots are about half as long as the long Dark Blood, but weigh as much on account of their thickness.
