Each of the cold water drops and eachof the hot water risers and drops isvalved, the cold water drops havingvalves located near where the branchleaves the main and being drained byopening the faucet of the lowest fixturesupplied. The hot water drops are pro-vided with valves similar to the coldwater at the top, and, in addition, havea shut-off valve at the bottom with a Tjust above with a drip valve for drain-ing. Brass tags are placed on allvalves showing the numbers and thepipe lines they control, and a framedchart is located in the basement show-ing the location of every valve, the num-ber and the line it controls.
