The Mangbettus are famous throughout the Congofor their intelligence, their physical beauty, their skillin making all kinds of implements, as well as fortheir wonderfully good taste, and they have attainedin the Congo basin a position similar to that heldby the French in Europe during the seventeenthcentury.
