More than 100 peacefully gathered in front of the Lexington, Massachusetts, City Hall in support of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. Thousands have gathered and demonstrated worldwide against police brutality and racism since Floyd’s death. Floyd a 46 year-old black man killed by a Minneapolis, Minnesota policeman in May of 2020. Lexington is a town, population 31,626, 14 miles ( km) Northwest of Boston, MA, is the location where the first shot of the American Revolutionary War was fired in 1775. Lexington is considered to be liberal and according to 2016 city election results, 13,900 people voted for Hillary Clinton and 3,279 voted from Donald Trump.
